For those of us who manage pay per click campaigns, specifically Google AdWords, we’ll now be able to manage our client accounts on the fly, from our cell phones. In other words, Google has made it even easier to take our work home with us, or to the park, or wherever we may be. Thank you so very much Google.
A few weeks back we posted a blog titled ‘fewer cell phones, more mini computers’, to point out the shockingly fast processing speeds of today’s high end cell phones. No longer are these devices simply hand held tools we use to call home, asking if we’re out of milk. We use cell phones to keep schedules, take photos, record videos, update Facebook pages, check the latest scores, and if we absolutely have to, make an occasional call or two.
For those of us in online/mobile marketing, this is exciting.
Increased cell phone power and speed, increases the adopted use and number of uses of each device. As more people rely on their cell phones to do more things, it inevitably opens up new paths of marketing and advertising to reach our client target audiences on the go.
With Google’s latest release of AdWords Mobile, online marketers can now manage client mobile campaigns, while they’re on the go. We can make changes to our client keywords, ads, and campaigns, and set filters and alerts to keep us up to date wherever we may be.
